2011“The Messengers”won the Dale Meyer and Mario Cooper Award in the American Watercolor Society’s 2011 International Exhibition in New York.

2008 The First Invitational Exhibition of Contemporary International Watermedia Masters  was held in Nanjing China in 2008.Gallery Walk PictureThe exhibit traveled throughout China and Taiwan. I was honored to be one of 25 American painters selected by U.S. curator, Cheng- Khee Chee of Duluth, Minnesota.  Asian and Europeon artists were also represented in this first time amazing exhibit. My painting ” Gallery Walk “, which received the Silver Medal award at AWS,  was purchased in China and I was further honored to be awarded honorary membership at the Jiangsu Province Watercolor Research Institute.Plans are under way for the Second International Exhibition and my work ” Time Travelers” will make its way across the sea to to China.Time Travelers picture.


I served as Chairman of the Awards jury for the 2008 American Watercolor Society in New York City. From a group of 90+ beautiful paintings from around the world we selected 30 awards. It was a very difficult job since every painting deserved recognition.

2007In August 2007, I participated in a show called– WATERCOLOR! –at the Peninsula Fine Arts Center, Newport, Virginia. My work was included with masters like Jamie Wyeth, Phillip Pearlstein, Janet Fish, Paul Jenkins, Millard Sheets and some 20 others. It was an eclectic display of style, technique, subects,and vision– I was in heaven! In the next gallery was the work of Andrew Wyeth, Romare Bearden, and other giants of painting making it hard to top this show!Beach Walkers Painting
